Hi I’m Catherine, founder of Catherine Alexander Flower Farm which is now in its third growing year. With the help of family and friends we have gone from a muddy field to a very productive flower farm.

I have been involved in horticulture in some way or form as long as I can remember with an obsession for being outside in nature. I trained and worked as a Landscape Designer studying at the English Gardening School, Chelsea. I combined this with working as a gardener for several country houses, then went on to work for English Heritage at both Audley End and Wrest Park. I love working in historic landscapes - being part of that wider landscape.

My flower farm sits just below the top of a hill, overlooking farm land stretching across to distant wooded hills – a beautiful place to observe the changing seasons and enjoy the local wildlife. It’s a place to think, create and most of all grow.

We have built the flower farm using sustainable and organic practices – from ‘No Dig’ beds to harvesting rainwater. Over this last winter we have more than doubled our growing area to bring you even more of the flowers and foliage I love, and hope you will too. They are beautifully fragrant, often heirloom varieties both field grown and under cover in the polytunnels to protect precious blooms.

I supply to the wholesale market - local florists and floral event designers. If you are a local florist or planning a large event and would like to be supplied with buckets of gorgeous seasonal scented flowers and foliage, just get in touch.
